For 10 years Sydney businesswoman Janice Melville wore "black" everything and felt invisible. One of her clients recommended she see Vivienne Cable, the owner and originator of Image By Design in Chatswood. It was then Janice discovered colour!

One year later

Janice’s brief changed. She is working from home yet often needs to attend business meetings.  She wants to have ‘more fun’ with clothes while retaining ‘classic elegance’ as she moves from a traditional corporate look into a more casual professional look.  And she wants to continue to move from black into colours.

Initial situation

When Janice first went to Image by Design she said, "I was feeling so old and my clothes looked so old. You don't get noticed. I wore black because it goes with everything and it was safe."

She had her colours done and booked in for a wardrobe workout.  The result, " I feel fabulous now," said Janice.

Wardrobe makeover

As part of her wardrobe makeover, Viv helped Janice select six items and then took her shopping at Image By Design to help her match them up with other clothes and suitable jewellery.
 
When asked how Image By Design differed from other retail dress shops, Janice replied that most shop assistants will tell you that you look divine with what you try on.

   
 

"When you go in and try clothes on at Image By Design, Viv and the staff will give an honest opinion. “Yes, that works or no the style doesn't suit you, or no, that's not a good colour for you.” They go the extra mile. Viv took me to several shops in Chatswood to help me select shoes and boots that were appropriate for my new look."
