Are you of average height?
To look taller wear:

Narrow, straight legged pants that fall to the bottom of the heel

Tops and bottoms that are the same colour to draw the eye up and down

Are your hips wider than your shoulders?

Avoid narrow legged trousers and tapered, knee skirts

Avoid delicate tops with spaghetti straps,
halters and slash necked tops

Wear fitted clothes and avoid shapeless dresses

Avoid dresses and skirts that cling

Choose longer line, fitted jackets.

Use slash-necked tops to shift focus to shoulders and away from hips

A-line skirts and boot leg trousers are great for slimming the waist line
